a Choose Your Own Adventure Essay
by Maria Lepistö and the Animal Sound Society

They block the traffic as they walk around on the streets, tipping over garbage bins as they desperately search for food, sleeping in bus stops, and peeing in metro stations. The cows prefer the parks and cemeteries. The chickens lay eggs in the bushes. Eventually, there will be fences and a new, larger, version of the pigeon-repellent spikes we see today on the edges of communal buildings. Gũnter Rainer What time is it?
